Building Research Establishment
Environmental Assessment Method
BREEAM was the first system developed in the UK, by BRE (Building Research Establishment) in 1990, and it has been available for international use since 2008.
It is aimed at various stages of building’s life cycle, such as New Construction, Rehabilitation and In Use.
One of its advantages is the easy adaptability to the different climatic zones and certifications and local legislations.
Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design
LEED is a globally recognized symbol of excellence in green building, developed by U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC).
LEED’s global sustainability agenda is designed to achieve high performance in key areas of human and environmental health, acting on the triple bottom line – putting people, planet and profit first.
LEED provides building owners and operators with a framework for identifying and implementing practical and measurable green building strategies for all building types from commercial buildings to entire neighborhood communities.
WELL is the leading tool for advancing health and well-being in buildings globally. WELL is premised on a holistic view of health: human health as not only a state of being free of disease – which is indeed a fundamental component of health – but also of the enjoyment of productive lives from which we derive happiness and satisfaction.
WELL was developed and is managed by IWBI (International WELL Building Institute) and has several synergies and criteria matching LEED and WELL systems, therefore being commonly developed combined with LEED or BREEAM.
Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
