The relevance of ESG in Portugal in recent years  

  • The Development of ESG Indicators in Portugal has undergone great development in recent years:

    • DL 89/2017 which transposed the EU Directive 2014/95/Eu called Non-Financial Reporting Directive (NFRD), which provides that companies with more than 500 employees have to disclose non-financial information and diversity information
    • The Portuguese Companies Act requires the disclosure of financial statements and annual reports ;
    • Directive 29 requires disclosures on environmental risks 
    • The Commercial Companies Code requires transparency in management
